About me:

Hello, I’m Caitlin!

I’m a UK based multidisciplinary artist with a background in illustration, after studying it at BA level at Falmouth University. I am currently studying Fine Art: Printmaking at MA level at Camberwell.

My inspiration comes from walking, folk art and the colours and textures found in the natural world. Whilst living in Cornwall, I began to explore prehistoric monuments and the folk tales that surround them. Now back in London, I am interested in the ways landscape can be seen in urban environments, and how folk customs can feed into urban connections with the land.

I am constantly exploring new ways of creating but most often work in print. A large part of my practice involves drawing and printing outside on location, sometimes even using the environment as my drawing tools. I have also started exploring the world of 3D, creating narrative objects in both wood and clay.
